A trip with humanitarian aid for residents of the villages of Ivankivskyi, Makarivskyi and Buchanskyi districts

This trip was unforgettable... Our team made a decision, no matter the cost, to bring pasochka (East European Easter bread) and krashanki (Easter eggs) to the residents of the villages of Ivankivskyi, Makarivskyi and Buchanskyi districts before the Easter holiday.

Our plan was to bake 400 pasochkas and paint 1400 eggs (krashankys). The first problem when trying to execute was finding the necessary products, but with the help of the battalion, the public organization "Rozum" and active participation of one of our supporters, we managed to get everything we needed.

The next challenge was baking. Many people were willing to help theoretically, but practically all the cooking was done by four of our women who, for two days straight, kneaded the dough, baked pasochkas, and painted eggs.

Funds to pay for the fuel for the upcoming trip were raised by the residents of our neighborhood.

The first village we visited was Halinka. Then Sydorovichi, Zhmiivka, Olizarivka. Everywhere we went people met us with smiles on their faces, and we will always remember the care with which they took the pasochkas in their hands, the tears in the eyes of elderly people, the gratitude for being remembered.

The last trip was to the village 5 km from the Belarusian border. Our boys bought toy walkie-talkies for our little brother so that he could always be in touch with us. People asked what the situation was in Kyiv and in Ukraine in general. With lots of anxiety, they asked if we would come again.

"Of course we will", we replied.
